WE ARE TOGETHER

look I too wish 

my words would say  
what I wish to say 

not  

what I hardly mean  

isn’t it true  

that words were made 
by humans like us 
 
I remove
 
& I rearrange them  

yet they are  

my words 
 
and my lines 
 
and my own poems
 
until you arrive and
question me
 
aren't we all together 
in this maze?

OUT OF NOWHERE

PEOPLE WATCHING

if you're a vagabond  

you have an advantage  
you get to while away  
long stretches of time  
 
when movies & music  

bore you to death  

 
an unknown suburb is  

where you go  
 
you light a cigarette  
 
and watch the women  
and men  

rushing somewhere
unknown to you.

WORLD OF FOOLS

it's a place for
fools  

where lying  

is considered  
a form of poetry  

never really  

did I belong here  

which is the reason too  

for all my troubles  

in a world  

of overwhelming splendor.
